Gary Johnson is delighted to have set up a deal for the young shot-stopper, who could be in the squad for Saturday's game against Huddersfield Town.
"We're delighted to be able to bring Wayne on board," Johnson told the club's official website.
"We needed a quality keeper who was happy to play for us for two-to-three months before returning to his parent club.
"No one is interested in signing a short-term deal. Instead Wayne can gain some experience during his time with us and offer competition for Adriano Basso before Chris Weale returns to action."
