Ribeiro On The Comeback Trail

The 19-year-old City defender, who damaged his cruciate ligaments last August, played for half-an-hour of City's pre-season freiendly defeat to Ajax on Wednesday night.

"We were playing against a world-class side. I couldn't ask for more. I really enjoyed it," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"I've worked so hard to get into this team in the last few years.

"When I did get my chance to only get 30 minutes play and be out again was devastating," said Ribeiro.

"But you've got to keep mentally strong and I've worked ever so hard to get back to where I am."
