QPR v Bristol City

Last updated : 02 January 2011 By BBC Sport

Bristol City look likely to be without Cole Skuse after he limped off during the win against Cardiff.

Jamie McAllister (calf) and Liam Fontaine (ankle) are both still out, but Louis Carey could return after injury and illness.

MATCH PREVIEW

Bristol City have lost on their last three visits to Loftus Road and both these clubs were in the top flight when the Robins last won in the league there, in April 1977.

QPR are hoping to return to the elite in 2011 after a 15-year absence. But despite being four points clear at the top of the table, their recent results have given their fans reason for some concern.

Saturday's loss at Norwich was their third defeat in five matches - a wobble that will test the resolve of their players, as well as their big-spending board's apparent desire to delay yet more major signings until the summer, when they hope to be in the Premier League.

Rangers' form is not the only reason City can head to west London with some optimism. The Robins have already won at second-placed Swansea, and on Saturday again showed that they can be a match for any team in the division when they thumped Cardiff 3-0.
