Bristol City will be without Lewin Nyatanga for at least six weeks after scans showed the defender suffered a knee ligament tear against Blackpool. The 21-year-old left the field on a stretcher during the pre-season friendly win over the Premier League newcomers last weekend. "Our worst fears of a cartilage injury have been put to bed but there is a ligament tear and that means he will be out for six to eight weeks," City physio Nick Dawes told the club`s official website. Nyatanga`s injury adds to a long list absentees for the opening game of the season against Millwall on Saturday. Fellow defenders Louis Carey, Nicky Hunt, Christian Ribeiro and James Wilson, midfielder Kalifa Cisse, last season's top scorer Nicky Maynard and fellow forward Danny Haynes are all out.
