The 32-year-old's existing contract expires in the summer but City boss Gary Johnson is eager to have the wide man at his disposal next term in the Championship.
Murray missed the final three months of the season after breaking his foot but Lansdown has reiterate the club's intention to offer him a new contract.
Lansdown told the Evening Post: "Scott will be here and we have told him that.
"We will wait for him to get fit and then we will sort him out with a contract.
"He is a very good footballer. As regards the part he plays next season, that is down to (manager) Gary Johnson, but we have told him he will be given a contract for next year so that will happen."
