Scottish striker McIndoe missed a penalty in last week's 1-0 win at Southampton on the south coast, but this week's miss, in front of his own supporters was rather more costly as it meant a 2-2 draw rather than a 3-2 win for his side against the 2nd bottom side in the league.
After his miss last week, City manager Johnson backed McIndoe to bounce back from the setback and yesterday defended the forward, instead putting the emphasis on the side's team ethic,
"I am gutted for our supporters because they were magnificent today. It feels more like a defeat than a draw, " he told BBC sport,
"Michael's distraught but I never allow players to take another penalty after they have missed twice in succession. It's just too much pressure, so we will be making a change.
"We win and lose as a team and no one will be on Michael's back. He is more distraught than the rest of us."
