"We are 99% sure that the move will happen," said Terriers boss Andy Ritchie.
"I spoke to Gary Johnson and it appears that we made the enquiry at just the right time."
Since then Gary has said
"Richard needs games and this loan will give him the opportunity to get that.
"At this moment in time it is with a view to coming back here at the end of it.
"Last season he did well and was offered a new contract. He chose not to sign it and we were a bit disappointed at the time. That offer is still on the table."
The manager added: "Richard trains hard and works hard, he just needs games at the moment"
