Boss Keith Millen has bolstered his striking options with the loan signing of the Wales international from Wolves.
Last season`s leading goal scorer Nicky Maynard is still on the road to recovery after summer knee surgery and Jonathan Stead recently underwent an ankle operation so Keogh, who recently had a loan spell at Swansea`s South Wales rivals Cardiff, will challenge David Clarkson and Brett Pitman for a starting role.
Millen hopes to sign a second new player ahead of the game after agreeing a fee with Scunthorpe for midfielder Martyn Woolford. He will come into contention if the deal can be completed before Monday`s 11pm transfer deadline.
Millen could be short of options in defence with Christian Ribeiro (knee), Lewin Nyatanga (Achilles), Nicky Hunt (hamstring) and James Wilson (knee) all recently receiving treatment.
