Johnson up for managerial award

BRISTOL City boss Gary Johnson could be rewarded for his side's excellent form in their first four games as he has been nominated for the league's manager of the month award.

City, still to be beaten in the league, sit fourth and subsequently Johnson has been listed alongside Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, Preston's Alan Irvin and Birmingham City's Alex McLeish.

The winner of the August manager of the month award will be announced on Sky Sports at 1.20pm on Tuesday.
