However, the City boss is aware that should any silly-money be offered for any of his players then like all other clubs they could find it hard to resist selling some of their prize assets.

"We hope that we can keep them here because we don't want to sell our best players," he has said.

"Obviously if some stupid offers come out of the bag then sometimes you have to look at it, but at the moment we are trying to build a squad, not lose it.

"We don't want to be losing our best players, but I think it is more speculation than anything else because at this moment in time, we have not had any offers for our players."
