Gary's comments on fefeat at Scunthorpe

"It was a frustrating evening, not helped by the pitch. When we got near the final third we didn't show enough cleverness or guile to break them down.

"We had to go longer because of the pitch, although both teams were mis-kicking it on the sandy surface.

"In the end they had that one bit of cleverness. A quick free kick found the lad Sharp and we were sleeping, which is frustrating because we had drummed it into the lads all week not to switch off.

"But the most frustrating thing really is that we didn't create enough chances. Perhaps Kevin Betsy's was the best one but then I cannot remember many others."
