"We'll take this on the chin and we'll learn from it. Perhaps it will give our boys a kick up the backside.
"We knew our run had to come to an end some time, but it still hurts when it happens. We've lost 3-0 and that's hard to take.
"It's happened and we'll have to take it on the chin.
"But we mustn't get carried away by this result. We've got a very exciting game on Saturday and we'll keep going."
He added: "We know the things that we have to work on and we'll have another look at our personnel before the next game.
"It's important we don't get too down after this. We've only lost once in nine games and we've still made a good start.
"Hopefully, we will have picked the boys up by the time we play Sheffield United."
