He thinks that would put a squeeze on Nott'm Forest.
"There are 12 points up for grabs in a short space of time," said Johnson.
"We gear ourselves to have a good number of points accumulated so when you come out of Christmas you are in a healthy state.
"If we can pick up three or four wins over Christmas we will be in a healthy state.
"You are always looking at the two points a game scenario. If you get your eight points over Christmas that should be at least enough to keep you where you are.
"If you pick up more then it's a bonus. You are then looking at what other teams are doing - Nottingham Forest especially - and hoping you can catch them up."
