"This is a different sort of pressure as it's a one-off game. We want the lads to enjoy the game because there's no pressure to get three points," he told www.bcfc.co.uk
"We can go into the game relaxed, trying to play good football and see if we're at that level yet. It will be a test and the fans will see a difference in the standard of the opposition.
"We're not playing Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd, so you've got to look at it as a winnable game. We'll go into the game thinking we've got every chance.
"Our home form is very good and hopefully we can produce another good performance at Ashton Gate. They won't come here to shut up shop so it will be a good open game.
"We won't be able to go two goals down and comeback like we have done in the league. We can try - but really we have to liven ourselves up from the start."

"The boys have got to be up for it because Bristol City are a confident team at the minute and on a good run.
"Let's be fair, they have got the facilities, the ground and the fanbase that suggests they should be a Championship side, and hopefully Gary Johnson is going to do that with them this season.
"So we know how tough it is going to be but we have got to rise to the occasion."
