The 18-year-old, who recently turned down the chance of a move to Championship side Burnley, is expected to complete a move to Ashton Gate on Tuesday.

Keogh is available on a free transfer having been released by Stoke over the summer.

"Richard is a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international and comes highly recommended," City boss Brian Tinnion told the clubs official' website.

"We're delighted he has agreed to come on board."
