The point prevented Barnsley from ending the weekend in the bottom three as Southampton and Forest both lost leaving Barnsley in 21st place on 12 points from 13 games. Although he was delighted to get such a good result against a side who are pushing for position at the opposite end of the table, Davey admitted that the game may have been an oppertunity missed as the home side dominated for a large majority of the game,
"We had the best chances of the game. Two of them were great chances. We've hit the crossbar as well," he told the BBC,
"In the end it's a 0-0 draw, but it's a clean sheet, which is positive, and it's another point at home."
Although Davey was happy to accept a point he said,
"We've played a very good side here today, we've drawn with them, had a lion's share of the play and we looked the better side."
