CITY 1 Wrexham 0

City are forced into a change as Brooker is unfit to play. This means a start for Paul Heffernan up front with Lita with Cotterill tucking in behind them. A back three of Fortune, Orr and Cole Skuse making his full debut. Wingbacks of Carey and Golbourne. A midfield of Wilkshire and Doherty. in a kind of 3-4-1-2 affair. City will have to watch for Juan Ugarte who has scored 19 goals in just 24 starts, 17 of them away from home.

Ashton Gate seems empty and echoes as the game kicks off. Heffernan hits the bar from the edge of the box. Wrexham win a free kick and City manage to scramble the ball clear. Cole Skuse makes a saving tackle against Ugarte in the box. Llewellyn heads over.

Doncaster have an early lead at Stockport. Bradford are ahead against Brentford.

Luke Wilkshire shoots straight at the keeper. Carlos Edwards has a shot deflected behind for a corner. Pejic somehow shoots over at the far post unmarked. Heffernan is bundled over in the area by the keeper but the referee gives nothing. Wilkshire shoots wide.

Chesterfield have taken the lead against Bournemouth, Wayne Allison the scorer. Huddersfield are behind against Colchester for less than a minute as Pawel Abbott equalises. Bradford are 2-0 up at home to Brentford. Ade Akinbiyi has scored for Burnley sending Brighton deeper into relegation trouble. Stockport have equalised against Doncaster.

Carey is sent flying by Lawrence but again the referee gives nothing. Heffernan and Cotterill combine well and a Golbourne header goes straight at the keeper. City are denied another penalty as Craig Morgan appears to handle but City only get a corner. Ugarte shoots wide in what has been an even contest so far. Cotterill wins a corner in an attempt to get his first City goal. A deflected Ugarte free kick goes wide off a Wrexham player.

Brentford are now 3-0 down at Bradford. Lee Miller has scored yet again for Hearts.

Tommy Doherty goes off injured and is replaced by Scott Brown. City win a free kick about 40 yards out but Wilkshire floats it harmlessly into Ben Fosters arms. Another good run by Cotterill wins a corner for City. Cole Skuse again covers well in defence as Wrexham break.

Wrexham are more interested in the points but the half time whistle go with no score. Dull dull dull. Stockport now lead Doncaster and Bradford have a fourth against Brentford. City haven't managed a single shot on target although Heffernan hit the bar.

HT 0-0

A Wilkshire shot sails wide but he was brought down and City have a free kick. Wilkshires free kick goes well over. A Golbourne cross is flapped away by Foster. Orr crosses well but Foster saves Golbournes header well. Ugarte has a shot saved by Phillips. Golbourne has another effort saved. Wrexham clear off the line and Scott Brown has a long effort tipped over.

Bournemouth have equalised at Chesterfield.

Scott Murray comes on for Bradley Orr. Murray crosses and Heffernan heads just wide. Luke Wilkshire takles back well as Wrexham break. Chris Armstrong comes on in place of Mark Jones for Wrexham. Scott Murray scores for the first time in twenty-two breaking into the box from the wing to meet Scott Brown's cross.

1-0 (Murray 66 mins)

Huddersfield lead 2-1 against Colchester. Bournemouth lead 2-1 at Chesterfield.

Phillips claims well above the 6 foot 7 inch Lawrence. Ryan Harley comes on for the hard working Dave Cotterill who leaves to a standing ovation. Lita has a shot saved by Foster. Skuse makes a saving tackle against Armstrong. Lita braks and is brought down in the box but the referee for the third time gives nothing. A Murray cross deflects onto the bar and out for a corner. Wilkshire crosses towards Lita and it is cleared as far as Harley whose cross shot just evades Fortune at the far post.

Chesterfield have equalised against Bournemouth, and Doncaster are also 2-2 at Stockport.

Heffernan is caught offside as Lita attempts to put him through. Lita then heads straight at the keeper from a Golbourne corner. Lita fires wide when through one on one with the keeper. Scott Brown surges forward but his cross is disappointing.

City limp to that elusive victory and cling on to mathematical miracles as Brentford are thrashed, but Bournemouth grab a late winner.
