Fontaine worry for Robins
Bristol City will check on Liam Fontaine as they look to bounce back from Sunday's 5-4 defeat to Coventry when they welcome Wolves.
The defender may miss the meeting between two clubs relegated from the Championship last season with a rib injury he sustained in last weekend's nine-goal thriller at Sixfields.
One player who will definitely not feature is striker Ryan Taylor who will be sidelined for up to six weeks with an ankle ligamentinjury which could see Marlon Harewood playing a bigger role against Kenny Jackett's men.
Louis Carey is still recovering from a dead leg and also looks set to miss out as City search for their first Sky Bet League One victory of the new campaign.
New signing Kevin McDonald goes straight into contention for his Wolves debut.
The midfielder completed his move from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday but head coach Kenny Jackett will find it hard to change a winning formula after last weekend's 4-0 victory over Gillingham.
Six of Wolves' seven players on international duty this week returned unscathed, however back-up goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey tweaked his hamstring during Wales' warm-up ahead of their clash with Republic of Ireland and is unavailable, hampering his chances to a loan move to Yeovil.
Midfielder Dave Edwards (ankle) also continues to miss out.
