Forest had started the season fairly promisingly with a draw against Reading on the opening weekend of the season but poor results since then have left them inside the bottom three.
A draw with Birmingham on Saturday demonstrated their ability to be difficult to beat, a quality which Breckin hopes can help secure Forest a vital win at Ashton Gate this weekend. The Forest captain told the BBC,
"Eventually we're getting a foothold in the league.
"It took us a long time but we're looking as though we've come to terms with this league and let's hope now we can kick on and get a few more points."
